Poem: An Escape

Run away with me
To see the world without
Constraints but within
Each other,
Forming another memory
In the race against time.

We can wander the streets
With our eyes to the sky
Lying as we say the days
Aren’t passing by
And say we aren’t
Living on borrowed time,
Stolen in the ultimate crime,
A theft of divine proportions.

See, praying to God every day
To wake up the next
Leaves you on your knees
Away from the streets,
Away from life itself.

So let’s run away from the conventional
And throw our memories in suit cases
And thoughts in our pockets
And let’s live while we can

For it seems to be even more of a tragedy
That some go through life without living
